About This Experience

Join a small group and discover Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains on this full-day trip from Krakow — big on scenery, local flavour, and mountain air.

Your guide collects you from your Krakow hotel and heads south towards Zakopane, Poland’s mountain capital. En route, your guide brings the region to life with stories of góral highlander culture, mountain traditions, and the landscapes that define the Tatras.

In Zakopane, stroll the famous Krupowki promenade, browse regional crafts, and sample the local smoked cheese — an unmissable taste of the highlands. Weather permitting, ride the Gubalowka funicular for sweeping panoramic views across the peaks and the town below (tickets purchasable on the day).

The day ends with three hours at the thermal baths — geothermal pools fed by natural springs, with the mountains as your backdrop. The perfect way to unwind before the journey back to Krakow.

We used Krakow Unlocked for a trip to Zakopane for snowmobiling and then onto the Thermal Baths. The day was well organised and the communication before the event was great!
